Scouting Report: Bronson Arroyo

Last year, Bronson Arroyo surprised many people with a very solid transition from the AL to the NL. He led the NL with 241 IP and had a 3.29 ERA to go with his 14 wins. Last year Arroyo went 4-0 against the Cubs with 26 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.01. Arroyo is a flyball pitcher who will be in the strike zone consistently. He has a funky delivery as he has a leg kick while he throws across his body. He will change his arm angle depending on the situation. His arsenal contains a slider, a curveball that moves vertically, and a good changeup. This guy is a Cubs killer and with only one or two lefties in today’s lineup, don’t expect big numbers.
