Random Rant
Today’s random rant comes in the first inning when Ted Lilly is pitching to Jimmy Rollins. Jimmy Rollins made some comments the last time Ted Lilly pitched against the Phillies about how Lilly didn’t really pitch well, but it was their fault that they did not hit the ball. Mr. Lilly was not too keen about that so he threw at him, but fortunately missed. I think if you want to get back at someone, that you should get back at them with your talent and getting him with your ability. If he gets on base, then he is a threat to steal and has a whole bunch of power hitting behind him.
You would think that Lilly would have learned from his last start that you can’t throw at batters any more, because the umpires can use their mind-reading ability to know when you are going to throw at the batter. Lilly should not have thrown at him because he once again risked pitching only 2/3 of an inning ( although 5 IP didn’t help too much either.)

I bet the home plate umpire was just “waiting for it to happen” too!
