Well, Tom Glavine entered one of baseball’s exclusive clubs on Sunday night as the Mets beat the Cubs 8-3. Tom Glavine won his 300th game and he has a few more in his pocket as he hopes to add to the stretch run for the Mets. Baseball analysts are predicting that Glavine will probably be the last 300 game winner. Yes, the same baseball analysts that said the same thing after Clemens won his 300th… and after Maddux won his 300th… and the same experts that said that the Cubs could not catch up to the Brewers. Yea, those analysts… Glavine pitched well for the most part and the Mets just flat out outplayed the Cubs, while you could almost hear the Cubs fans hearts tear apart when they saw Alfonso Soriano hobble to the third base. I really wish that Glavine could have gotten that win on Tuesday, because I had a sweet article planned out for his 300th victory the day the movie 300 came out … and they would have beaten the Brewers! Once again, congrats to Tom Glavine as he joins this elite club that no pitcher may ever see again.
