Will Zambrano be re-signed?
The biggest question right now that needs to be answered before the regular season begins is not only a big question for next year, but also for the future of this organization. Zambrano has hinted that if he does not get signed before the regular season that he will walk after the season ends. If Zambrano walks after the season ends, it will be a huge blow to the team, and will remind many Cubs fans when Greg Maddux, a future Hall-of-Famer, joined the Braves. The Cubs have already guaranteed a boat load of money to a few different players and now they MUST give it to Zambrano. He is looking for around 5 years and is expecting Barry Zito money which is extremely fair, considering he throws about 10 MPH faster than him, has more energy, is a few years younger and his numbers are only getting better. Zambrano is the Cubs ace and if he leaves it will haunt the Cubs for years to come.
