The Tell-Tale Heart is a story about a mad man who ends up killing another man. After the murder, he ends up hearing his victim’s endless heartbeat… but after thinking about it I don’t think it was his victim’s heart that he was hearing … I think it was the loud heartbeats of Brewers fans around the world. (Since there are no Brewers fans outside of the state of Wisconsin, it was a soft beat.) The heartbeats are being caused by the amount of stress that is occuring in the “land of cheese” right now, not only because Michael Vick is on the loose, but because the huge lead that the Milwaukee Brewers had has shrunk. Mightily.

So this is the moment for Cubs fans every where to hold their head up. Our team has gone through thick and thin, from our Ace and our catcher exchanging punches to Aramis Ramirez belting a Francisco Cordero pitch into the bleachers, and here we are .5 game behind the Brewers and they can hear us breathing on their necks, while we listen to their heart beat from far away.
