MVP so far …
With things looking up right now for Cubs fans we have to ask ourselves one thing … Who is the first half MVP?
Carlos Zambrano -Pitched extremely well of late, but he started out so terrible that he hasn’t redeemed himself yet.
Aramis Ramirez -Absolutely scorched the ball of late and he keeps getting game winning hits and giving Francisco Cordero nightmares
Derrek Lee- Power number have not been there, but he gets the hit when you need him
Ryan Dempster-He has rebounded very nicely after having a terrible 2006.
Ryan Theriot/ Michael Fontenot- These guys were a huge spark for this team (and still are)
…but my 2007 Cubs first half MVP goes to…. *DRUM ROLL…
CARLOS MARMOL.
This guy has been lights out as soon as he stepped onto the mound. He has really helped put this bullpen come together and other team’s announcers are already comparing him to the dominant closer K-Rod of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim *annoyed grunt
