Big Cubs Rumor

Even though it is from MLBTradeRumors.com, I thought I would share. The alleged deal would involve sending Jones, Pie and Veal to the Marlins for Dontelle Willis… This is would be a terrible trade if Jim Hendry decided to pull the trigger. If the Cubs acquired Willis not only would he have the worst ERA on the rotation, we would be trading away our number 1 hitting prospect, along with one of our top pitching prospects. I could see maybe if they wanted to move him to the bullpen and have him be a lefty specialist, considering his 1.71 ERA against lefties, but why trade away so much talent for a bullpen arm. Just say no, Jim.

agreed…Dontrelle Willis is one of the most overrated players in baseball. i do think that we need another starter because Marquis is not reliable, and is going downhill after a nice start..but lets hope Dontrelle isnt it!
