Comment on Ads by CubMan

True, the ads do generate more revenue but that is not the point. Sure, the Cubs will tell you that the ads are neccesary for the Cubs to remain competitive with other teams in the league, but if you believe that ads like those hideous Under Armour signs in the outfield help the Cubs win more games - then I have a large amount of swamp land in Florida I would like to sell you real cheap. The fact is that just like the rest of baseball the Cubs are looking to get even richer no matter how bad it looks. They spend enough money to make themselves competitive but there is just as much focus on getting fatter. Get rich first then worry about proper baseball management. When the Cubs sell Wrigley Field's naming rights, I hope people stop going to games.

IF ADDING MORE SIGNS TRANSLATES INTO WINNING MORE GAMES, THEN TELL ME WHY TEAMS LIKE THE DIMONDBACKS AND ROCKIES HAVE BEEN BEATING THE CUBS WITH ONLY A FRACTION OF THE PAYROLL AND TEAM REVENUE?

FACT: CHICAGO CUBS OWNERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT = G R E E D Y B A S T A R D S. . . .. .

Let me preface this by saying that I love Carl Crawford (in a baseball sense) and I would love to see him come to Chicago. With that being said, I wouldn't trade the house for him. Some combo of Pie, Gallagher, Veal, and Cedeno works for me. However, I would not be moving Soto or Hill. If the trade cannot be done for the right price, bring on the Fukdome.

Anyone is better than Will Ohman, if only he was as good as he thinks he is. I am 72 years old with a really bad shoulder but I can throw more strikes than Ohman. Good ridence. Now for Ruan Dumpster.

They called him up because they believe he is ready to work his way back into being a factor for the Cubs. They said this. The Cubs want to get him back into the 'major league groove' and throwing him into the fire like that is not a good idea. Of course he's not ready for that, what other pitchers in his position would be? That doesn't mean he gets to stay in the minors all year. He's going to get back into things but through lower-pressure situations.
